In other news, I filmed a Regional Commercial this past weekend for Les Schwab. If you are in the Northwest you can view it in September! Look for me slamming on the brakes.
John and I have been busying filming our first project together. It is a short film titled "The Flowers of the Rifts" written and directed by John and produced by and starring me. It will be viewed at the HP Lovecraft Film Festival in October. We will be wrapped at the beginning of September. It's been a great experience for both of us. We've enjoyed working together so much that we are doing it again in October, filming an online webisode. Stay tuned for more info on that!
Last night my friends and I went to see the film "Once" at the Fox Tower downtown. I recommend this film to everyone. It's going on my all time top list. Simple, beautiful, heartfelt, authentic. I love the music! This isn't your normal musical. No glitz and glamour. It's been so long since I've seen a real love story on film. Most films about love these days are comedies or romantic comedies. fluff. I'm not saying that a love story can't be funny or that it has to be filled with drama. On the contrary, "Once" is natural and real, easy and complicated at the same time and it has moments of laughter. Go see it before i say too much! You can see a trailer here.
